C for Dummies touts its self as “The Fun and Easy Way to Find Out About C Programming”, Im not sure its all that fun but this book is certainly an easy way to find out about the basics of C programming. The author really takes you from knowing nothing to having a good working knowledge of the C language. The text is explained in easy to read, plain English. It has lots of code to try out for your self and points out common errors you might make.
Of course C for dummies wont teach you everything and you will still need plenty of time to digest the information and put it into practice but this book is a great one to have to ease you into the world of C and give you the foundations to build on or go on to look at other languages such as C++
